About Jessica

Jessica Rodrigues is a Brazilian-Irish artist who creates from Dublin. She spent eleven years as a tattoo artist, a period that permanently shaped her understanding of narrative. In that role, stories were entrusted and inscribed, a collaborative act that demanded integrity and a focus on the body as the first site for a visual tale. This experience remains the quiet anchor for all her work.

She now builds worlds across painting, murals, and video, drawing from a well of dreams and old folklore to create images that feel both familiar and strangely new. The curiosity that guided her hand on skin now guides her interdisciplinary practice. It is a practice of genuine exploration, evidenced by an Artist in the Community Scheme grant for collaborative public work and features in 10 group exhibitions, including the group show Voice of Dreams for Visionary Arts.

Her work has been featured in Tintreach: The Smashing Times Arts and Literary Journal
