Have you ever held a dream so close it felt like a part of you? For years, my art lived quietly in my studio. Furthermore, the idea of publicly exhibiting my paintings seemed distant. That all changed this October. I am thrilled to say that my first exhibition was at the incredible Irish Arts and Human Rights Festival in Dublin.
A Trilogy of Strength: The Stories Behind My Three Exhibition Paintings

Seeing my three paintings hanging together in a gallery in this exhibition was a powerful moment. Each one tells a distinct part of a universal story. They explore how we find strength, protect our inner peace, and heal from our wounds. So, let’s pull back the curtain on these pieces, shall we?
First, meet “I Am Because We Are.” This portrait is a tribute to ancestral power. It reimagines a historical figure against a backdrop of burning colonial ruins. This setting makes a decisive pivot from a narrative of oppression. Furthermore, symbolic elements converge to articulate a vision of liberation. A mighty baobab tree erupts from her chest, representing deep-rooted strength. Moreover, a transforming ribbon and the storm of a spiritual force swirl around her. This piece isn’t just a portrait; it’s a declaration of self-determined identity.

Next, we turn inward with “Intrinsic Harmony.” This intimate work asks a question: where do we find peace during invisible wars? The answer lies within. A bird merges completely with a human figure, creating an armistice embodied. Additionally, the heart’s keyhole stands guarded under a gentle ceasefire of stars. This painting suggests that peace is an active, lived condition. It’s a quiet voice that no outside chaos can ever truly silence.

Finally, we witness the beauty of healing in “Where Scars Sing.” This piece presents a battlefield of fractures. But look closer; each break is meticulously repaired in gold. This practice, inspired by kintsugi, is a beautiful metaphor for our lives. The repaired cracks become a truce where peace can finally whisper through mended wounds. And then, a bird’s gentle touch suggests a calm forged purely in the aftermath. It proves that our scars are not just evidence of damage; they are the very places where our resilience sings its loudest song.

In conclusion, these three paintings form a powerful trilogy. They move from collective power to inner peace, and finally, to the golden evidence of our repair. They remind us that we are connected, we are resilient, and our mended places can become our greatest strength.
