What do you FEEL when you see this drawing? I made a HUGE mistake while drawing this. After almost giving up on it I decided to cover it with gold foil, and then, I worried it might look like too much.😅 But it turns out, when I talk about it, people always say they hadn’t even noticed! Because of the mistake, I changed the initial idea. Now this piece reflects a Japanese art form called Kintsugi. Like Kintsugi, we mend our cracks with care. the goal isn’t to hide the breaks, but to honor them. Each scar becomes part of our story, a reminder that healing can be beautiful too! Art heals us. And through art, I’ve learned that imperfections and mistakes are part of the journey! ❤️

What’s your hobby? Slow hobby ideas: Mandala Monday! When I arrived at @thismustbetheplacedublin , I was asked if I had ever made a mandala. Tricky question, because, well, I tattoo many mandalas, but when was the last time I stopped to create one without digital tools? I don’t remember! Sure, making it digitally gives you a perfect result. But the meditation, the feeling of being present? That’s not the same! Creating for your soul isn’t about perfection. The magic is in the process 🧚‍♀️ The more technology advances and everything speeds up, the more I crave returning to traditional art: to slow down, to remember who I am, to be present. When was the last time you truly had time to CREATE?

First time tufting! As you know I have MANY hobbies, and I love learning new things! This week I tried tufting! Creating things with your own hands is great to fuel your creativity, imagination, and the most important: it anchors you in the raw, real HERE! No previous experience needed (I did my own design but they can help you with the drawing if you want) It’s an amazing way to give yourself time for unplugged creation! And no, you don’t need to be an artist to have fun ❤️ Have you ever tried tufting?

My first animated tattoo! This is a phenakistiscope-inspired tattoo, a very traditional animation technique used to create the illusion of motion! I used to love this when I was a child, I also created many different versions of it! For this one you need to spin in front of a mirror and look between the holes to see the animation. I’d love to tattoo more like this! And I’ll give you the paper version of the animation so you can see the motion when you want🧚‍♀️ Now I create magic where tradition and tech collide ✨ Have you ever heard about phenakistiscope?

I’ve seen the Studio Ghibli AI trend take over and I thought: wait, I AM an artist! I can do it better 🌚 So I did my MAGIC! The best part of being an artist is actually the process. It’s in the process that we can really FEEL the art. The result is just a tiny part of it. It’s in the process where I can mix Studio Ghibli style with my own. And this is why it has a SOUL! And only a human being can do this 🙂 What are your thoughts on images generated by AI?

Here, every corner whispers magic and mystery. It’s a place where I low key expect a fairy to appear right before my eyes in the light of day, as if the legends are alive and breathing! And when you choose me to create those tattoos I can share this magical feeling with you. It doesn’t matter if it’s an intricate design with fairies and selkies or something as simple as a rainbow: the magic is there! And the best part? We are still here! It was an iconic moment, especially because it’s not just a movie, it’s part of our history. And we cannot forget what happened! Ainda estamos aqui comemorando! Esse dia não é só sobre uma premiação (que sabemos que de “justa” não tem nada). É sobre entender a importância de não esquecer. É entender que a história não é bonita, o passado não é glorioso, e justamente por isso a gente não pode esquecer, para que nunca mais aconteça. Your ego is crushing you! Many people expect to be instantly good at something they try for the first time. If they are not good, they give up! I do the opposite: I keep trying until I achieve my internal goal (and it might be only learning the basics or becoming an expert). Here’s the deal! If you really want to learn something, you NEED to accept being a beginner! Let go of your ego and perfectionism and embrace the journey of being ✨BAD✨ at first. Give yourself the time to learn and grow. Embrace the cringe! The awkward first steps. The hot-mess phase where you’re gloriously, unapologetically TERRIBLE! No, you won’t be incredible on your first try if you don’t have any previous skills. There’s no magic spell for instant mastery! But you know what? I LOVE the feeling of being just a little bit better than I was before. Those small victories, the progress that no one else might notice. It’s all about intentionality and repetition ❤️ So get out there, embrace the struggle, and watch yourself grow! Next week I start a new learning project and I’ll share with you 🌙 I’ll learn how to make jewellery! What’s the next thing you would like to learn?

They said Jesus doesn’t like tattoos but he looks really happy with mine 🤔 I can’t stop laughing! As a real artist this is what I use AI for 💀 The last one surprised me a little bit 😅 But for real, I’m determined to stand against the use of AI as replacements for artists. It’s simply unethical to sell AI-generated images, especially when they’re created using art from artists who haven’t given consent. I wholeheartedly prefer imperfect art made by real people over soulless images created from stolen art 🙂 What do you think about AI?
